Agave integrated Savings xDAI on Gnosis Chain this week, allowing xDAI holders to easily access the high-yield DAI Savings Rate (DSR) from MakerDAO on Gnosis Chain.

The DSR is an addition to the Maker Protocol that allows any DAI holder to earn savings in DAI. It is a premium reward by MakerDAO for users depositing DAI, bolstering user benefits and rewards in the ecosystem. sDAI tokens represent DAI stablecoins deposited in MakerDAO’s DSR module. Agave's UI now offers the DSR rate on Gnosis Chain. Previously, this was only available on Mainnet. Instead of depositing DAI for sDAI in the case of Mainnet, users can now deposit xDAI to receive sDAI on Gnosis Chain directly with Agave.

This unlocks high interest rates in Gnosis Chain for everyone, and most importantly supports the growth of its DeFi ecosystem. For a more comprehensive dive into how the DSR works, please refer to Maker's blog post on the topic.

Node runners ~ heads up! Nethermind removed xDAI configs in their latest release. It's advised that all Nethermind users transition to Gnosis configs for continued compatibility and optimal performance.
