On Monday March 11, 2024 18:30 UTC the Dencun upgrade activated on the Gnosis Chain mainnet!

Dencun is a combination of two upgrades. Deneb, the name for Consensus Layer upgrade, and Cancun, the name of the Execution Layer upgrade. The upgrade implements Proto-Danksharding with EIP-4844, introducing transactions that can carry "blobs" of data for scaling L2 chains and reduces transaction fees. Blob-carrying transactions scale data-availability of Gnosis and Ethereum in a simple, forwards-compatible manner.

Ethereum is scheduled to perform the Dencun upgrade on March 13th, 2024.

Blobs go live on Gnosis Chain ahead of Ethereum’s Dencun upgrade

Blob transactions, part of EIP-4844 (or protodanksharding), will be implemented on Ethereum with the Dencun upgrade tomorrow.

Now that Dencun is live, blobs will scale Gnosis, a key development as Gnosis Pay continues to grow. That's not all - blobs have another use case! Arbitrary data can be stored onchain with blobs, such as memes :) Visit blob.fm to add your own!

The GnosisDAO announced the vision and roadmap for Gnosis 3.0, a pivot from building decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem to being a venture studio with a suite of consumer facing products.

🕵️‍♀️ Covalent x Gnosis Chain

Covalent is a single Unified API for fast, scalable historical blockchain data across 200+ chains. Covalent announced their integration with Gnosis Chain.

🤝 Kleros x Zodiac x Project Shutter

The Shutterized Gnosis Chain is currently under development. In February, the Shutter team deployed the contracts and activated a Keyper network for the Shutterized Gnosis Chain on the Gnosis Chain testnet Chiado. Kleros is a Keyper, using Snapshot Labs and Gnosis Guild's Zodiac Module to safeguard their Keyper set. Kleros is a decentralized arbitration service for the disputes of the new economy. We're happy that chosen to utilize Gnosis Guild's Zodiac Module to support the Shutterized Gnosis Chain!

💶 EURe/GNO AMM on CowSwap

Community member, @0xgunboats hacked together a EURe/GNO AMM. One component of CoW AMM is price oracle between your selected pair. Which means you need onchain liquidity for the pair on that chain. GNO/EURe doesn't exist on Balancer so @0xgunboats found a solution!

🔐 SAFE Secures $100 Billion

Safe is the account abstraction leader on Ethereum and the EVM with the most secure smart wallet infrastructure and platform. Over $100 Billion in total assets are secured on Safe infrastructure. A huge congrats to the Safe team for hitting such a major milestone!

Gnosis Labs is where the research and development efforts take place within Gnosis. Currently, it’s full of AI-related activities, and agent-to-agent payments are a very significant proportion of the total payments on Gnosis Chain. We consistently see 10k-20k weekly payment transactions from Autonolas alone. Last week, the Gnosis Lab team leads joined the Gnosis Chain Discord for a presentation about their ongoing work.
