After a successful Dencun upgrade on Gnosis Chain's Chiado testnet, the Gnosis Chain Mainnet will hard fork on 11 March 2024 at 18:30:20 UTC, Slot: 14237696 Timestamp: 1710181820 ~ two days before the Ethereum Mainnet. This is the first time that Gnosis Chain will perform an EIP upgrade ahead of Ethereum, further solidifying Gnosis Chain's 1:1 parity with Ethereum.

💳 Gnosis Chain Node Runners x Gnosis Pay

Node Runners ~ did you know that you can set your validator fee address as your Gnosis Card Safe address? Validator rewards are automatically deposited into your Gnosis Card Safe account making it practically seamless to spend your xDAI at any merchant where Visa is accepted.

📈Gnosis Daily Active Users Soars

Daily Active Users on Gnosis Chain jumped by 33% in January ~ mostly likely in anticipation to the launch of the Gnosis Pay Card.

🛜 Succinct Protocol

The Succinct team announced the Succinct Network last week - a decentralized prover network so that anyone can build apps secured by programmable truth, not trust. The teams noted that the proof supply chain of today is broken and has failed to keep up with the pace of ZK innovation. The Succinct Network aims to change that. Gnosis Chain's Omnibridge is secured by a ZK light client built by Succinct, giving the network a trust minimized native bridge. Hashi, an additive security approach to cross-chain bridges, also employs ZK light technology built by Succinct. Succinct enables teams to go from zero to one with ZK in weeks, not months.

🐦‍⬛ Rotki Portfolio Tracker

rotki is an open source portfolio tracker, accounting and analytics tool that protects your privacy. The team announced that users will be able to see sDAI transactions on Gnosis Chain directly in the rotki app. Thanks rotki!

🐇 Hop Protocol's Fee Reduction

Hop enables trustless, safe, fast, and cheap cross-chain transfers. Last week the team announced that fees for DAI transfers are now cut in half.

💱Mu Exchange Lists GNO/USDT

Mu Exchange is the first stable yield perpetual DEX on Gnosis Chain. Mu added the GNO/USDT pair this week, expanding the available listings on the DEX.

🔐 Safe Hits New High

Safe smart wallets hit over 30 million transactions across chains with a total of over $80 billion assets locked. Congrats to the Safe team! 2024 is the year of smart accounts!

🛒 DAppscout by Blockscout

DAppscout Apps Marketplace, created by the Blockscout team, provides a curated list of apps available to on-chain users. Projects can submit their project for review, and once accepted, the project is listed in the marketplace. This week DAppscout added Gardens, a novel governance application to it's collection. Gardens is a coordination tool for communities with shared treasuries to help fund common goods that's live on Gnosis Chain.

🌅 Sunsetting Gnosis VIP

The Gnosis Validator Incentive Program was launched in April 2023 to incentivize validators to secure Gnosis Chain. When the Gnosis Builders wound day in late 2023, the Gnosis VIP program followed suit shortly after. To learn more, check out the informative thread below.

The full closure of the Gnosis Validator Incentive Program is scheduled for April 2024. Leading up to this date, we will release a reward claim page. This will serve as the platform for all eligible validators to submit their claims for rewards.

The OriginTrail Decentralized Knowledge Graph combines knowledge graph and blockchain technologies to enable a universe of AI-ready Knowledge Assets, allowing anyone to take part in trusted knowledge sharing. Their latest update features delegated staking on Gnosis Chain. The DKG 6.2.0 Mainnet release is set to launch on Gnosis Chain tomorrow on the 14th of February, 2024!
