AI + Prediction Markets
Autonolas is bringing autonomous agents to the OmenETH prediction markets platform on Gnosis Chain, creating a fully AI-powered market for long tail events. The Autonolas stack allows anyone to create decentralized autonomous agents.
What are autonomous agents? Autonomous agents are entities or systems that can operate independently and make decisions without direct human intervention. These agents are designed to perceive their environment, gather information, analyze it, and take appropriate actions to achieve specific goals or objectives. They are often implemented using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, including machine learning and natural language processing.
In May, Valory launched Autonolas’ first project on Gnosis Chain: AI Mechs w/ assistance from the GnosisDAO and Martin Koppelman. AI Mechs or, AI bots, provide access to AI tools like OpenAI and StabilityAI to users (primarily other bots) in a crypto-native way.
Valory’s mission is to enable communities, organizations and countries to co-own AI systems, beginning with decentralized autonomous agents.
The GnosisDAO, of course has a long association with prediction markets as one of the first use cases that it explored on Ethereum. Omen is a fully decentralized prediction market platform built on the Gnosis conditional token framework, an open standard for prediction markets. Users can create and/or participate in information markets on various topics (crypto, politics, sports, etc.) and stake their crypto on possible outcomes.
By pairing the Autonolas protocol and software stack with the OmenEth marketplace, Valory is creating a sandbox for AI prediction market innovation on Gnosis Chain.
Valory, Autonolas and Gnosis Chain have teamed up to host two upcoming hackathons.

Mech Powered Prediction Market Hackathon
The Autonolas stack allows developers to quickly iterate on existing agent templates, pushing the boundary of the possible. Developers are tasked with having their agents participate in real long-tail prediction markets. This hackathon is open to all, individuals or teams.

🌉 Scheduled Bridge Downtown
With the Shapella hard-fork approaching on Aug 1st, 2023 we will have scheduled bridge downtime. Both OmniBridge and xDAI bridges will be paused before the fork and will resume operation after the hard-fork is completed. Total estimated downtime is 16 hours.

🦦 Erigon's Updated Roadmap
Erigon is an implementation of Ethereum (execution layer with embeddable consensus layer), on the efficiency frontier. This week they released their updated roadmap for 2023, which of course includes support for Gnosis Chain. Erigon's support only further establishes that by using the same execution and consensus layer clients as Ethereum, Gnosis Chain is fully compatible with all future EIPs.
