Today marks the much anticipated moment of the SAFE token becoming transferable. Congrats to the SAFE community for the reaching this huge milestone! The decision on whether to enable token transferability or not has always been driven by Safe's community-envisioned roadmap, fulfilling specific milestones that were decided on through the transparent SafeDAO governance process.

The event is historic for the GnosisDAO community, as well. The GnosisDAO treasury has locked 64M SAFE tokens, 80% of their total allocation, to show their long-term commitment to the Safe team and vision!

Since it was first deployed in early 2017, Safe (known at the time as Gnosis Multisig, then Gnosis Safe, now simply Safe) has evolved into one of the most important crypto primitives and building blocks in Web3.

The Safe Ecosystem has been heads down shipping Safe{Core} and Safe{Wallet} that are now best-loved throughout Ethereum/EVM. Safe is pioneering the transition to smart accounts, and their account abstraction infrastructure is now securing over $100B in assets.

Safe’s mission remains to make smart accounts the default means of onchain interaction. 🕵️ The Launch of GnosisVPN

The GnosisDAO voted to pass GIP-98, initiating the launch of GnosisVPN, a truly private and decentralized VPN on top of the HOPR mixnet! HOPR will build a set of VPN (virtual private network) libraries for privately relaying HTTP calls and responses and a proof of concept Gnosis VPN browser extension. Working over the HOPR mixnet, this first extension will give users fully metadata-private access to a set of predefined Gnosis Dapps from their web browsers. This will allow users to interact with a full suite of crypto services without revealing their IP address or geolocation to the respective web servers.

🏦 StakeWise V3 x Gnosis Chain

StakeWise is a liquid staking protocol that enables simple and secure GNO staking for individuals and organizations. It also provides the tools & software to allow anyone to launch their own staking Pool (called Vault) and earn fees by running validators for others.

StakeWise on Gnosis Chain has seen tremendous success: a whopping 36% of all the GNO staked to date has been deposited through StakeWise.

🖥️ Gnosis Chain Validator Update

@0xarmagan, Gnosis Chain Validator Comms Lead, wrote an informative thread about all the recent juicy validator updates. From the Shutterized Gnosis Chain to Geth, Distributed Validator Technology and the Pectra upgrade, there's a ton of updates scheduled for Gnosis Chain!

🔐 Shutterized Encrypted Transaction on Chiado

The Shutter team deployed the contracts and activated a Keyper network for the Shutterized Gnosis Chain on the Gnosis Chain testnet Chiado in February of this year. The deployment was a key milestone for an encrypted mempool for the Gnosis Chain using Shutter in a collaborative effort with the Gnosis and Nethermind teams. The collaborative effort bolsters front running protection and reinforces anti-censorship guarantees. Last week, the team sent the very first shutterized, encrypted transaction on Gnosis Chain's Chiado testnet! Read more about the Shutterized Gnosis Chain here.

💸 Gnosis Pay DeFi Balance Booster

A Gnosis Pay expansion using DeFi protocols like Yearn and Ajna was hacked together by @poolpitako at the recent ETHGlobal Hackathon Scaling Ethereum 2024 . The project connects the Gnosis Pay stack to Yearn vaults, allowing users to establish a line of credit and a savings account.

The euro e-money token by Monerium EMI, a regulated entity, is licensed in the EEA. E-money is recognised as a digital alternative to cash, 1:1 backed in high-quality liquid assets and is unconditionally redeemable on demand. ⚖️ Kleros Courts

The agent to agent economy is heating up on Gnosis Chain. Data from September and October 2023 shows that more than half of all Safe transactions on Gnosis Chain are currently made by AI agents. This signals a nascent but growing "agent economy"—an onchain economy run solely by AI agents that is turning the crypto-AI dream team into a reality. We're also seeing a renewed focus on prediction markets with the advent of this new agent to agent economy in web3. Who will make the best predictions between all the teams currently developing AI agents? Kleros is a decentralized arbitration protocol for disputes in the onchain economy. The Gnosis Berlin Meetup took place at Full Node last week! Full Node, operated by Gnosis, is a space for blockchain, web 3.0, and P2P initiatives to work and collaborate. Opening with Martin Köppelmann - Gnosis 3.0 and Circles. Martin talked about plans for Circles as part of Gnosis 3.0! Eleftherios Karapetsas of Rotki Solutions GmbH - gave a demo of Rotki, a portfolio tracking and managing app on Gnosis Chain. Maike Hornung of Visa- lead an open discussion on her experience straddling the traditional and decentralized financial spheres. Christoph Jentzsch of Tokenize.it- lead a talk on the tokenisation of GmbH and its impact on crowdinvesting.
