🗳️ Governance Update: Vote on GIP-144 (Blockscout Renewal)
The Gnosis community is currently voting on a crucial proposal to renew the infrastructure supporting network transparency and developer tools.
- What it is: A proposal to approve a one-year renewal of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Blockscout. Blockscout provides the ecosystem's dedicated, open-source block explorer and essential developer infrastructure.
- Why it matters: Explorer usage has nearly doubled year-over-year, with Monthly Active Users increasing by 94%. Blockscout is critical for transaction transparency, superior contract verification (185K+ verified contracts vs. 15K on Gnosisscan), and supporting ecosystem growth.
- Cost & Term: The proposed annual cost for hosting and maintenance for Gnosis Mainnet and Chiado Testnet is $115,200.
