With over 100 speakers, 3 days of programming, and zero fluff, DappCon 2025 goes deep into the heart of Web3 — exploring privacy, coordination, governance, and the role of human agency in an increasingly automated world.

Just before DappCon, Protocol Berg (June 13–14) sets the tone with two days of focused, sponsor-free conversations among protocol researchers, client teams, and infrastructure developers. No hype, just rigorous protocol discourse that lays the foundation for what’s to come.

Together, these two gatherings are turning Berlin into the epicenter of the Ethereum ecosystem this June.

Hosted by Gnosis, DappCon reflects the values we've long championed: building decentralized systems that serve people, not platforms. From community-issued currencies to self-custodial finance, we’ve spent years designing infrastructure rooted in fairness, freedom, and individual agency.

  • Stefan George (Gnosis) – Cofounder of Gnosis and creator of Safe, Ethereum’s leading smart contract wallet used to manage over $40B in assets. After spinning out Safe in 2022, Stefan now focuses on building Gnosis Pay—a radically inclusive payment network connecting crypto to real-world usage.

🗳 GnosisDAO Governance Update

GIP-108: GnosisVIP Rewards Proposal

Status: Rejected — Did not reach quorum
Quorum: 46.8%
Result:

  • ❌ Against: 22.2k (63.02%)
  • ✅ For: 13k (36.98%)

Summary:
GIP-108 proposed honoring the originally announced GnosisVIP reward schedule for early validators, which was later modified due to distribution challenges. Supporters argued the original rewards had been heavily promoted by Gnosis and induced participation based on those terms. The proposal was distinct from GIP-106, which focused on validators with matching withdrawal addresses.

Despite debate over fairness and expectations, the proposal failed to meet quorum and was therefore rejected.
